Privacy Policy

Chronicle is an iOS application developed and published by Jabar Studios Ltd. Privacy is foundational to how Chronicle is built. This document sets out what information is processed, where it lives, and what rights you hold over it.

Data We Collect 
Chronicle does not collect, store, or transmit personal tracking data to Jabar Studios or third parties, except where you voluntarily contact us by email or where Apple processes App Store transactions on your behalf.

The application is built on a local-first architecture.

Tracks and Progress Data: 
Chronicle allows you to create and manage personal tracks, including streaks, routines, goals, milestones, categories, progress logs, completion history, reminder choices, and related app settings. This information is stored locally on your device. Jabar Studios does not have access to your tracks, progress history, or personal entries.

iCloud Backup: 
Chronicle may use Apple’s iCloud services to help keep your Chronicle data available across your own Apple devices when iCloud is available. A backup file containing your Chronicle data may be saved to your private Apple iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud services. Jabar Studios does not operate an external server to access, view, recover, or manage this backup. iCloud availability, storage, syncing, and account access are handled by Apple and your Apple ID settings. 

Preferences and Settings: 
Your display preferences, notification settings, Pro access state, backup metadata, and other app preferences are stored locally on your device. Jabar Studios has no access to this data.

Notifications: 
Chronicle allows you to enable reminders for selected tracks. These reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Apple’s notification system. Chronicle does not use an external push notification server to send personal reminders.

Purchases: 
If you choose to unlock Chronicle Pro, the transaction is processed securely by Apple through the App Store. Jabar Studios does not receive, process, or store your payment details. Purchase status is handled through Apple’s StoreKit and your Apple ID account to support purchase restoration.

PDF Export: 
Chronicle may allow Pro users to export a PDF report of their tracking progress. PDF reports are generated on your device from the data stored in the app. Jabar Studios does not receive or store exported PDF reports.

Feedback: 
If you choose to contact us through the feedback option in Settings, you are sending a voluntary email to hello@jabarstudios.com. We use the information provided solely to respond to your inquiry and improve the app.

Data Sharing 
We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose your personal tracking data to any third party. Chronicle does not utilise advertising networks, external analytics services, or tracking technologies. Any crash reports or performance metrics are handled through Apple’s native, opt-in systems, which provide only anonymous or aggregated information.

Your Rights and Data Deletion 
Because your Chronicle data is stored locally on your device, you retain control over it.

You may revoke notification permissions at any time through your iOS Settings.

To delete locally stored Chronicle data, remove Chronicle from your device. Once removed, locally stored data cannot be recovered by Jabar Studios because we never had access to it.

If Chronicle has created an iCloud backup, deleting the app may not automatically remove any backup file stored in your private iCloud account. You can manage or delete iCloud-stored files through your Apple ID and iCloud Drive settings.

Children’s Privacy 
Chronicle is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy 
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the date at the top of this document. Continued use of Chronicle after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
